Ok, so I have a confession to make...I purchased my first pieces of vinyl in some 3 years last week (yes, I know - far too long right?) and after a 'brief' 3 hr impromptu mixing session on the wheels of steel over the weekend the vinyl bug had well and truly sunk back in...there's just something magical about picking up, touching and holding music that the digital world cannot ever truly replace. So this week's show is my first vinyl only set in an absolute EON with the CDJs taking the week off for a change and good ol' fashion crate digging coming back to the fore...The show is mainly a collection of broken beats with a few latin & jazzy numbers thrown in for good measure to ease oneself back into the 12" waxy saddle, so hopefully a lil' something groovy for everyone to get their teeth into. Much respect to the literally Kyoto Jazz 'Massive' for their Nacer do Sol track that put me back on the straight and narrow waxy laid path that is the way of Vinyl...Truly an inspirational EP!
